Item details
A zero-based monthly budget: a left-to-assign cell turns green only when planned income minus planned spending is exactly zero.
The Summary sheet turns the group subtotals into a pie chart and a planned-vs-actual column chart with a share-of-spend column. Each line has Planned, Actual and Difference columns; each group has its own subtotal row, and totals feed a money-left and savings-rate block. The Monthly Budget sheet lists 2 income sources (Main paycheque, Second paycheque) and 14 expense lines grouped as Needs, Wants, Goals, Debt.
A left-to-assign cell turns green at zero so every dollar of planned income has a job. Negative money-left cells turn red automatically.
Workbook pages: Monthly Budget: Income, 4 expense groups with subtotals, totals, money left and savings rate.; Summary: Category table with share of spend plus a pie and a column chart..
The example amounts are made-up round numbers for a fictional household; overwrite the input-coloured cells with your own.
Download one ZIP containing XLSX workbook, Montserrat, Andika OFL font files and licences, and README.txt. The Start Here tab explains inputs, calculations and how to clear the worked entries.
The workbook contains 61 formulas. Its raspberry design uses coloured input cells and separate calculation cells. Unzip and install the included typefaces before opening the sheet.
Works with spreadsheet software supporting XLSX files. Digital download; no macros or external data connections.
