Team Handover Action Tracker workbook for anyone managing team handover in a spreadsheet instead of loose notes. The focus-area dropdown comes preloaded with current status, outstanding work, key contacts, file locations and next actions. Column headers read Task, Focus area, Owner, Target date, Status, Minutes, Cost, Notes and Days until due, and that final column is a formula.
Your working Plan tab offers 60 empty rows and reads today's date automatically, so each countdown stays current. Status choices (Planned, Active, Waiting, Done) each get their own cell colour. On the Summary tab, formulas count named tasks, tally every status, total minutes and costs, report the completion share and count tasks per focus area.
Need a starting point? Two example tabs walk through five invented tasks dated from 3 January 2027, opening with "Update the current work status" and "Check that key files can be found". The instructions finish with two review questions written for this subject: What information was missing? Which handover detail prevented confusion?
Download contents: one ZIP holding the XLSX workbook plus the same workbook saved as ODS, five tabs apiece (Instructions, Example Plan, Example Summary, Plan, Summary). Colour scheme: teal; typeface: Atkinson Hyperlegible. No macros, no passwords, and nothing is mailed.
The XLSX edition includes editable charts. The ODS edition contains the matching worksheets and formulas without embedded charts.
