Item details
A ready-to-play indoor scavenger hunt for Halloween parties, rainy-day fun and classroom celebrations, built around pictures instead of word lists so even pre-readers can join in. Print the hide-and-find cards, tuck them around the room, and hand each child a picture checklist to tick off as they spot the matching illustration. For an extra challenge, add the clue trail: twelve original riddle cards that send players from room to room until they reach the treasure.
The set features friendly ghosts, smiling pumpkins and candy corn characters dressed for school with pencils, books, backpacks, glasses and crayons, so it feels at home in a classroom, library, after-school club or family living room. Every illustration has a short caption, which makes the checklist a gentle reading prompt for early readers.
What's included: - indoor-halloween-scavenger-hunt-us-letter.pdf: 8 pages, 8.5 x 11 in - indoor-halloween-scavenger-hunt-a4.pdf: 8 pages, A4 - 1 cover page and 1 how-to-play page with five setup steps and six game variations - 2 pages of hide-and-find picture cards (24 different pictures, 12 per page, each about 2 x 2 in) - 1 picture checklist page for players, with 24 pictures, tick boxes and name and time lines - 2 pages of clue trail cards (12 printed riddle cards, a treasure finale card and 7 blank cards you can write yourself) - 1 page with two Super Spooky Spotter certificates
Print the cards on cardstock and the checklists on regular paper at 100 percent (Actual size). The riddles name common household spots (fridge, bookshelf, sofa, shoe rack, washing machine, window sill, bed, stairs, front door, cutlery drawer, plant), so adjust them or use the blank cards to match your own space. Colors can look slightly different on screen than on paper.
