Item details
Download Polkadine: a polka dot cutout typeface drawn from scratch, with 150 characters in every font file. Polkadine punches a staggered grid of round holes through heavy rounded letters, like a polka-dot fabric cut in the shape of a word. Holes are 12 units in radius on a 52-unit pitch, so even a modest title keeps dozens of dots. The pattern is cut out of the outline, which lets any background colour or photo show through.
Each font file holds 150 characters: the 95 basic Latin characters (A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9, punctuation, symbols and the space) plus 55 extra Latin-1 characters (53 accented letters such as À, É, Ñ, Ü and ç, and the Spanish ¡ and ¿). Built-in kerning covers pairs such as AV, TA, Yo, AT. The ZIP contains the Regular weight as OTF, TTF and WOFF2 (3 font files), a PDF specimen, a read-me and the license text.
Typical jobs: birthday banners, toy-store style tags, playful bulletin boards. After unzipping, double-click a font file to install it; use the OTF version for design programs, the TTF version for older office software and the WOFF2 version in web pages. Works with desktop applications that accept OTF or TTF files; WOFF2 files are supplied for web embedding.
License summary: free for personal and commercial projects, including products for sale, logos, websites and apps; fonts may be embedded; please do not redistribute or resell the font files.
