Item details
Velvetine Contrast is an original high-contrast thin serif display font from Educo, delivered as OTF, TTF and WOFF2 for desktop, print and web use. Velvetine Contrast is drawn with a flat nib, so verticals are thick and horizontals hairline-thin, and each stem ends in a fine serif. The result is a fashion-magazine look with a two-storey a and a curved-tail y. Use it at large sizes; below about 24 pt the hairlines get delicate.
Inside the single ZIP you get Velvetine Contrast Regular in three formats (OTF, TTF, WOFF2), plus LICENSE.txt, README.txt and a specimen PDF. Each font file holds 150 characters: the 95 basic Latin characters (A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9, punctuation, symbols and the space) plus 55 extra Latin-1 characters (53 accented letters such as À, É, Ñ, Ü and ç, and the Spanish ¡ and ¿). Kerning is included for tricky pairs like AV, TA, Yo.
Try it on poetry posters, fashion and boutique tags or magazine-style titles. Works with desktop applications that accept OTF or TTF files; WOFF2 files are supplied for web embedding. After unzipping, double-click a font file to install it; use the OTF version for design programs, the TTF version for older office software and the WOFF2 version in web pages.
You may use the fonts commercially (print, merchandise, branding, web, apps) and embed them in documents, but you may not pass the font files on or sell them.
