Item details
Crossweave is an original cross-stitch display font from Educo, delivered as OTF, TTF and WOFF2 for desktop, print and web use. Crossweave turns each pixel of a 5 x 7 grid into a tiny x, the way a counted cross-stitch chart looks. Each little cross is about 76 units wide and drawn with slim crossing bars; letters sit on a fixed 600-unit width, so text lines up like stitches on aida cloth.
Inside the single ZIP you get Crossweave Regular in three formats (OTF, TTF, WOFF2), plus LICENSE.txt, README.txt and a specimen PDF. The character set is the 95 basic Latin characters (letters in both cases, digits, punctuation, symbols and the space); accented letters are not included in this pixel design.
Try it on textile project labels, needlework chart headings or craft-class posters. Works with desktop applications that accept OTF or TTF files; WOFF2 files are supplied for web embedding. Install steps are in the README: unzip, open the font file and choose Install. Load the WOFF2 files with @font-face if you build a website.
You may use the fonts commercially (print, merchandise, branding, web, apps) and embed them in documents, but you may not pass the font files on or sell them.
