Stitch "Stay Cozy" onto your next project. This word design uses playful chunky letters filled with tatami stitches.
Elements in the design: the word "Stay Cozy" in tatami fill with a run-stitch edge and a pair of satin leaves with a dot beneath the lettering.
Colour sequence: Rust (#A2482A), Mustard Yellow (#D4A22A). Swap in any shades you like; the chart lists stitches per colour.
4x4 hoop version: 86.0 × 79.2 mm (3.39 × 3.12 in), 4,152 stitches. 5x7 hoop version: 115.8 × 105.8 mm (4.56 × 4.17 in), 6,462 stitches.
You receive a single ZIP containing 9 files. Inside: 4x4/ and 5x7/ folders with DST, PES and JEF versions, a stitch preview PNG, a printable colour chart PDF listing every thread stop with hex values and stitch counts, and README.txt. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Fills are tatami stitch at 0.42 mm row spacing with staggered 3.2 mm stitches over edge-walk and lattice underlay; satin columns are 0.4 mm apart with centre-run or edge-walk underlay. Each section begins and ends with tie stitches, and separate parts are joined by trims. Lovely on tote bags, tea towels, pillow covers and sweatshirts. Pair it with 40 weight embroidery thread, a fresh 75/11 needle and cut-away (knits) or tear-away (wovens) stabilizer; add a soluble topper on towels or fleece.
Quality check: all three formats were re-read after saving to confirm matching stitch counts and hoop-safe sizes. Sew a test piece before stitching on a finished garment. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
