A scallop Lace Edge Border for machine embroidery, drawn as clean geometric shapes and digitized for two hoop sizes.
Inside the file you will find 10 satin scallops, 10 filled drop dots and 11 small dots and a straight bean-stitch top line.
Sizes: 92 × 12 mm (3.63 × 0.48 in, 1,161 stitches) fitting a 4x4 hoop, plus 172 × 23 mm (6.78 × 0.90 in, 2,653 stitches) for a 5x7 hoop. Note that the 5x7 file runs horizontally across the long side of the hoop; rotate it on screen if your machine expects portrait.
It uses 4 thread colours: Navy Blue (#1F2A4D), Sky Blue (#7FB2DE), Powder Blue (#B5CDE3), Navy Blue (#1F2A4D), sewn in that order.
The download is one ZIP of 9 files: three machine formats (DST, PES, JEF) at two hoop sizes, a stitch-rendered PNG, a colour chart PDF and a README. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Fills are tatami stitch at 0.42 mm row spacing with staggered 3.2 mm stitches over edge-walk and lattice underlay; satin columns are 0.4 mm apart with centre-run or edge-walk underlay. Each section begins and ends with tie stitches, and separate parts are joined by trims. Suggested setup: 40 wt polyester or rayon thread, a 75/11 embroidery needle, cut-away stabilizer on knits and sweatshirts, tear-away on stable cotton and canvas, and a water-soluble topper on towels. Perfect for hems, cuffs and edges: towels, napkins, curtains, bags and bed linen.
Quality check: all three formats were re-read after saving to confirm matching stitch counts and hoop-safe sizes. Sew a test piece before stitching on a finished garment. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
