Item details
Original potted Cactus embroidery file, made for home and small commercial embroidery machines.
It is built from a filled cactus with two arms and running-stitch ribs, a filled flower pot with rim and a small bloom on top.
Two sizes are included. The small file measures 60.2 × 92.2 mm (2.37 × 3.63 in) with 4,400 stitches; the large file measures 112.6 × 172.2 mm (4.43 × 6.78 in) with 13,131 stitches.
It uses 4 thread colours: Leaf Green (#5E9A48), Hot Pink (#E0458A), Terracotta (#C0603F), Hot Pink (#E0458A), sewn in that order.
Everything arrives in one ZIP (9 files): DST, PES and JEF files in a 4x4 folder and a 5x7 folder, a PNG stitch preview, a colour-change chart PDF (thread order, colour names with hex values, stitch counts per colour, sizes in mm and inches) and a README. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Ideal for linens, pouches, bags, shirts and handmade gifts. Hoop the fabric with a suitable stabilizer (cut-away on knits, tear-away on wovens), use 40 wt polyester or rayon thread and a sharp 75/11 embroidery needle. Technically: edge-walk and lattice underlay beneath tatami fills (0.42 mm rows), satin columns at 0.4 mm spacing, locked starts and ends, trims between disconnected parts, and maximum stitch length kept near 7 mm.
Files were validated by loading them back and comparing stitch totals and extents across formats; a quick test on scrap fabric is still the best way to dial in tension. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
