Classic Snowflake: an embroidery motif built from simple, bold shapes that stitch out crisply.
What is stitched: six satin arms with twelve satin side branches, a filled hexagon centre and six filled tip dots.
The palette is Royal Blue (#2A4FA8), Powder Blue (#B5CDE3); each colour is sewn once in that order.
Sizes: 80 × 92 mm (3.17 × 3.61 in, 3,205 stitches) fitting a 4x4 hoop, plus 108 × 124 mm (4.27 × 4.87 in, 4,616 stitches) for a 5x7 hoop.
One ZIP download holds 9 files: the design in DST, PES and JEF for both hoop sizes (separate 4x4 and 5x7 folders), a PNG preview rendered from the stitches, a PDF colour chart and a short README with stitching notes. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Suited to home decor and apparel alike: cushions, wall hoops, jackets and tote bags. Pair it with 40 weight embroidery thread, a fresh 75/11 needle and cut-away (knits) or tear-away (wovens) stabilizer; add a soluble topper on towels or fleece. Fills are tatami stitch at 0.42 mm row spacing with staggered 3.2 mm stitches over edge-walk and lattice underlay; satin columns are 0.4 mm apart with centre-run or edge-walk underlay. Each section begins and ends with tie stitches, and separate parts are joined by trims.
Every format was written with a stitch library and re-opened to verify stitch counts, dimensions and colour changes. As with any design, a test sew-out on similar fabric is recommended. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
