Original retro Sun With Rays embroidery file, made for home and small commercial embroidery machines.
What is stitched: a filled sun disc, 12 triangular rays in two lengths and colours and an inner running-stitch ring.
Sizes: 92 × 80 mm (3.61 × 3.15 in, 4,184 stitches) fitting a 4x4 hoop, plus 124 × 108 mm (4.87 × 4.24 in, 6,836 stitches) for a 5x7 hoop.
Colour sequence: Mustard Yellow (#D4A22A), Tangerine (#EE8A2F), Rust (#A2482A). Swap in any shades you like; the chart lists stitches per colour.
All files come together in one ZIP (9 items): DST, PES and JEF files sorted into 4x4 and 5x7 folders, plus a PNG preview, a PDF thread chart with sizes and per-colour stitch counts, and a README. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Technically: edge-walk and lattice underlay beneath tatami fills (0.42 mm rows), satin columns at 0.4 mm spacing, locked starts and ends, trims between disconnected parts, and maximum stitch length kept near 7 mm. Works well on pillowcases, totes, baby bodysuits, caps and patches. Hoop the fabric with a suitable stabilizer (cut-away on knits, tear-away on wovens), use 40 wt polyester or rayon thread and a sharp 75/11 embroidery needle.
Every format was written with a stitch library and re-opened to verify stitch counts, dimensions and colour changes. As with any design, a test sew-out on similar fabric is recommended. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
