This motif is a eight Point Nautical Star stitched with a mix of fill, satin and running stitches.
Inside the file you will find an eight-point star with every ray split into a light and dark half (16 filled facets), four long and four short rays and a filled centre dot.
The 4x4 file stitches out at 92.6 × 92.6 mm (3.65 × 3.65 in) in 4,405 stitches; the 5x7 file at 124.6 × 124.6 mm (4.91 × 4.91 in) in 6,704 stitches.
It uses 3 thread colours: Navy Blue (#1F2A4D), Bright White (#FAFAF7), Cherry Red (#C8202F), sewn in that order.
The download is one ZIP of 9 files: three machine formats (DST, PES, JEF) at two hoop sizes, a stitch-rendered PNG, a colour chart PDF and a README. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Pair it with 40 weight embroidery thread, a fresh 75/11 needle and cut-away (knits) or tear-away (wovens) stabilizer; add a soluble topper on towels or fleece. Fill areas use staggered tatami (0.42 mm rows) with underlay to keep fabric flat, satin edges are spaced at 0.4 mm, and travel runs hide along edges where possible; trims and tie stitches are included. Great for gifts: try it on a canvas bag, a baby blanket, a cushion or a denim jacket.
The files were generated in software and checked by reading every DST, PES and JEF file back to confirm stitch count, size and colour stops; please do a test stitch-out on scrap fabric first. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
