Grandmother Garden Hexagon Block machine embroidery design, an original motif digitized for home embroidery machines.
Inside the file you will find 19 filled hexagon patches arranged as a quilt block, fill directions rotated per patch for a pieced look and a bean-stitch hexagon border.
Stitch count is 6,220 for the 4x4 version (79.6 × 92.0 mm) and 9,639 for the 5x7 version (107.4 × 124.0 mm, about 4.23 × 4.88 in).
Colour sequence: Raspberry (#C23A6B), Blush Pink (#EBB4B4), Leaf Green (#5E9A48), Raspberry (#C23A6B). Swap in any shades you like; the chart lists stitches per colour.
The download is one ZIP of 9 files: three machine formats (DST, PES, JEF) at two hoop sizes, a stitch-rendered PNG, a colour chart PDF and a README. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Recommended: medium cut-away stabilizer for T-shirts and fleece, tear-away for tote bags and napkins, a wash-away topper on terry towels; standard 40 wt thread and a 75/11 needle. Ideal for linens, pouches, bags, shirts and handmade gifts. Built with underlay first, then tatami fill at 0.42 mm row spacing and satin at 0.4 mm spacing; no stitch is longer than about 7 mm and starts and stops are locked with short tie stitches.
Files were validated by loading them back and comparing stitch totals and extents across formats; a quick test on scrap fabric is still the best way to dial in tension. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
