Add a hexagon Quilt Block to your sewing projects with this ready-to-stitch motif.
It is built from 7 filled hexagon patches arranged as a quilt block, fill directions rotated per patch for a pieced look and a bean-stitch hexagon border.
Stitch count is 5,080 for the 4x4 version (79.6 × 92.0 mm) and 8,345 for the 5x7 version (107.4 × 124.0 mm, about 4.23 × 4.88 in).
Suggested threads, in the order the machine stops for them: Navy Blue (#1F2A4D), Sky Blue (#7FB2DE), Mustard Yellow (#D4A22A), Navy Blue (#1F2A4D).
All files come together in one ZIP (9 items): DST, PES and JEF files sorted into 4x4 and 5x7 folders, plus a PNG preview, a PDF thread chart with sizes and per-colour stitch counts, and a README. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Pair it with 40 weight embroidery thread, a fresh 75/11 needle and cut-away (knits) or tear-away (wovens) stabilizer; add a soluble topper on towels or fleece. Works well on pillowcases, totes, baby bodysuits, caps and patches. Fills are tatami stitch at 0.42 mm row spacing with staggered 3.2 mm stitches over edge-walk and lattice underlay; satin columns are 0.4 mm apart with centre-run or edge-walk underlay. Each section begins and ends with tie stitches, and separate parts are joined by trims.
We re-opened each exported file to check the stitch count, the measured size and the number of colour stops. Please test-stitch before using on a final item. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
