Personalize with the initial W: this machine embroidery monogram pairs a heavy block sans letter with a hexagon frame.
What is stitched: the letter W in tatami fill with a run-stitch edge and a hexagon frame of six satin columns.
It uses 2 thread colours: Camel (#C29A6B), Brick Red (#9E2F2A), sewn in that order.
Finished sizes measured from the files: 80.0 × 91.8 mm for the 4x4 hoop (3,507 stitches) and 107.8 × 123.6 mm for the 5x7 hoop (5,335 stitches).
One ZIP download holds 9 files: the design in DST, PES and JEF for both hoop sizes (separate 4x4 and 5x7 folders), a PNG preview rendered from the stitches, a PDF colour chart and a short README with stitching notes. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Suggested setup: 40 wt polyester or rayon thread, a 75/11 embroidery needle, cut-away stabilizer on knits and sweatshirts, tear-away on stable cotton and canvas, and a water-soluble topper on towels. Works well on pillowcases, totes, baby bodysuits, caps and patches. Built with underlay first, then tatami fill at 0.42 mm row spacing and satin at 0.4 mm spacing; no stitch is longer than about 7 mm and starts and stops are locked with short tie stitches.
Every format was written with a stitch library and re-opened to verify stitch counts, dimensions and colour changes. As with any design, a test sew-out on similar fabric is recommended. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
