Personalize with the initial N: this machine embroidery monogram pairs a rounded retro sans letter with a hexagon frame.
It is built from the letter N in tatami fill with a run-stitch edge and a hexagon frame of six satin columns.
The 4x4 file stitches out at 80.0 × 91.8 mm (3.15 × 3.61 in) in 3,692 stitches; the 5x7 file at 107.8 × 123.6 mm (4.24 × 4.87 in) in 5,609 stitches.
The palette is Charcoal (#3A3B3F), Tangerine (#EE8A2F); each colour is sewn once in that order.
You receive a single ZIP containing 9 files. Inside: 4x4/ and 5x7/ folders with DST, PES and JEF versions, a stitch preview PNG, a printable colour chart PDF listing every thread stop with hex values and stitch counts, and README.txt. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Hoop the fabric with a suitable stabilizer (cut-away on knits, tear-away on wovens), use 40 wt polyester or rayon thread and a sharp 75/11 embroidery needle. Technically: edge-walk and lattice underlay beneath tatami fills (0.42 mm rows), satin columns at 0.4 mm spacing, locked starts and ends, trims between disconnected parts, and maximum stitch length kept near 7 mm. Great for gifts: try it on a canvas bag, a baby blanket, a cushion or a denim jacket.
Every format was written with a stitch library and re-opened to verify stitch counts, dimensions and colour changes. As with any design, a test sew-out on similar fabric is recommended. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
