Stitch the initial J in a double ring setting. The capital is drawn from a chunky brush script and digitized as a filled shape with clean edges.
The design is made up of the letter J in tatami fill with a run-stitch edge and a double ring (bean-stitch inner ring and satin outer ring).
The 4x4 file stitches out at 92.2 × 92.2 mm (3.63 × 3.63 in) in 4,264 stitches; the 5x7 file at 124.2 × 124.2 mm (4.89 × 4.89 in) in 6,351 stitches.
It uses 3 thread colours: Peach (#F2B48F), Coral (#E8705F), Teal (#1F7A7A), sewn in that order.
One ZIP download holds 9 files: the design in DST, PES and JEF for both hoop sizes (separate 4x4 and 5x7 folders), a PNG preview rendered from the stitches, a PDF colour chart and a short README with stitching notes. Works with any embroidery machine or software that opens DST, PES or JEF files.
Stitch on cotton, linen, canvas, denim, fleece or knit with the right backing: cut-away for anything stretchy, tear-away for firm wovens, plus topping on high-pile fabrics. Lovely on tote bags, tea towels, pillow covers and sweatshirts. Stitch settings: 0.42 mm tatami row spacing, 3.2 mm fill stitch length with a staggered pattern, 0.4 mm satin spacing, underlay under all fills and wider satins, lock stitches at starts and ends, and trim commands between objects.
Each file was verified after export (reloaded and checked for size, stitch count and colour stops). Results vary by machine, fabric and stabilizer, so run a sample first. Original design; personal use, or small-batch commercial use with the commercial licence.
