30 maze puzzles with letters hidden on the path. Walk through the maze, write the letters in order, and spell a secret word (3 to 4 letters long).
Solution paths are 16 to 51 cells long (about 27 on average). Every layout was verified by breadth-first search, so no maze is blocked and none has two competing answers. Layouts come from the recursive backtracker and growing-tree, giving long, winding corridors with few branches. Words come from a short list, for example Ship for maze 1 and Bell for maze 2. The key spells out each word.
The pages use a roomy margin so nothing is clipped when printed. There are no distracting backgrounds, which saves ink and keeps the focus on the maze.
The answer key has 5 answer-key pages with 6 solved mazes on each page, the route drawn in colour.
