Mazes with a silhouette: 24 puzzles in the shapes of circle, cloud, diamond, fish, flower, heart, hexagon, house, moon, star, tree, umbrella, ages 7-adult and up.
Solution paths are 25 to 187 cells long (about 82 on average). Each maze is perfect: every cell can be reached and there is exactly one path between START and FINISH, verified by program. The generator uses the recursive backtracker and Prim's algorithm and Kruskal's algorithm style, which produces twisty routes with long dead-end tunnels. A heavier outline wall makes each shape recognisable at a glance.
Line weights were chosen to print crisply on any home inkjet or laser printer, in colour or black and white. Walls are thick, dark lines on a light panel, and entrances are a full cell wide, so small hands can trace without slipping.
You also get a solutions file (12 answer-key pages) showing the route for every maze, 2 to a page.
Mazes build visual tracking, problem solving and persistence. Good for early-finisher bins, quiet-time folders, car rides and rainy days.
