Puzzle size grows from 8 × 8 to 10 × 10. Each puzzle hides 6 to 9 words, and the hidden words go in just two directions, right and down, so newer readers can scan with confidence. The word list sits under the grid with a tick box beside every word, and there is a name and date line at the top of each page. Page 1 explains how to play and lists all 15 puzzles with check circles; pages 2 to 16 each hold a single puzzle.
