20 printable mazes whose outer wall forms a picture: circle, moon, rocket, star. Grid sizes run 22x20 up to 37x31 cells.
The solved routes run from 42 to 312 cells, with an average of 109. Each maze is perfect: every cell can be reached and there is exactly one path between START and FINISH, verified by program. The generator uses the Wilson's algorithm and recursive backtracker style, which produces unbiased, evenly twisty routes with no obvious pattern. The wall that wraps each outline is drawn heavier, so the picture is easy to see.
The pages use a roomy margin so nothing is clipped when printed. Line weights were chosen to print crisply on any home inkjet or laser printer, in colour or black and white.
Solutions are in a separate PDF of 10 answer-key pages: 2 mazes per page with the route highlighted.
Use them for fine-motor practice, pencil control and planning ahead. Teachers can print a page as a warm-up or a sub-plan filler.
