Build Grades 6-7 vocabulary one puzzle at a time: this set has 15 themed word searches drawn from social studies, ready to print for class, centers or homework.
Across the pack there are 283 hidden words. Themes include Ancient China, Age of Exploration and Voyages, Medieval Castles and Knights, Countries of Asia, Government and Citizenship, Countries of Europe, Archaeology and Museums and Biomes of the World, plus 7 more; sample words are Ghana, Civilization, Antler, Sculpture, Manor, Colorado.
Each puzzle hides between 15 and 23 words in a grid that measures 14 × 14 up to 17 × 17; expect words written backwards, bottom to top and along diagonals, which makes the search a real challenge. A boxed word list below the grid shows each word to find, and a name/date line at the top makes the pages easy to hand in. The PDF has 16 pages: a contents and how-to-play page with a puzzle checklist, then 15 puzzles with one on each page.
Solutions come in their own file, 4 pages long, with coloured highlights marking where each word hides (up to four puzzles per key page). You download a single ZIP containing the puzzles and the answer key as PDF files, in both US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) and A4.
