10 word search puzzles, one topic: Countries of Africa. Written for Grades 4-8, the pack builds spelling and vocabulary while students hunt for words hidden in the grid.
Look for words such as Senegal, Kenya, Rwanda, Egypt, Niger, Namibia, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho. The longest entry is Madagascar (10 letters) and the shortest is Chad (4 letters).
Grid sizes ramp up from 14 × 14 to 17 × 17 as you work through the pack, with 13 to 22 words per puzzle; words may be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, always reading forward. A boxed word list below the grid shows each word to find, and a name/date line at the top makes the pages easy to hand in. The PDF has 11 pages: a contents and how-to-play page with a puzzle checklist, then 10 puzzles with one on each page.
A matching answer key (3 pages) shows each completed grid with the words marked in color, so checking takes seconds. You download a single ZIP containing the puzzles and the answer key as PDF files, in both US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) and A4.
