A themed science lab for the week of Halloween, built on three safe kitchen experiments: a bubbling baking soda and vinegar potion, a layered rainbow density tower and a color-mixing brew. The teacher lesson plan covers goals, safety, a station-by-station plan, the science behind each experiment, vocabulary, whole-class questions, a journal rubric, support and challenge ideas and cleanup. The student journal has a safety pledge and a record sheet for each experiment with prediction, drawing and conclusion sentence frames.

Fonts used: DM Serif Display, Nunito. They are free from Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License, including commercial use. Install them before opening for the intended look; without them, a close fallback font is substituted automatically and spacing may differ a little.
Safety note: all materials are common kitchen items, an adult must supervise every station, and nothing in the lab is tasted. Check for allergies before using honey, dyes or dish soap and use corn syrup or skip the density tower if needed. No chemistry knowledge beyond what is written in the plan is required.
