Fall Science Worksheets for Grades 1-3 - Leaf and Pumpkin Diagrams, Animals in Autumn and Nature Journal, 11 Pages

A hands-on fall science pack for grades 1 to 3 that mixes labeling, sorting and real investigations. Students label the parts of a leaf (blade, midrib, vein, stem and edge) on a large drawn diagram and the parts of a pumpkin cut in half (stem, skin, flesh, pulp, seeds and leaf), then cut and sort ten animals by how they get through winter: migrate, hibernate or stay active.

Further pages match seasonal pictures to the right season, match eight fall science words to their meanings and sort ten true-or-false fall facts, with the key giving a one-line reason for every answer. Five open record sheets get children outside and observing: a five-senses fall walk, a weekly weather watch, a pumpkin investigation (predict, measure, sink or float, count the seeds), a leaf hunt with rubbings and a science journal page.
