Item details
A fat pumpkin applique made for plaid flannel, buffalo-check cotton or any orange-toned fabric from your scrap bin. The machine stitches a placement line, a tack-down and a satin edge around your fabric, then adds stitched rib lines, a grid of cream running stitches for a quilted plaid look, a chunky brown stem, a green leaf and a tendril curl.
The rendered preview shows orange cotton; swap in plaid and the stitched check lines simply sit on top of it. Use it for fall pillow covers, farmhouse tea towels, tote bags, baby bibs or a quilt block. The larger 6x10 size gives enough room to show off the pattern of your fabric.
All three sizes keep the same stitch order, so you can stitch a matching small and large pair for a mantel garland.

Stitching notes: Applique stitch order: (1) placement line; place a piece of fabric over it. (2) tack-down; trim the fabric close to the stitch line. (3) satin edge covers the raw edge. Use cotton, felt or quilting cotton for the applique piece; light fusible web behind the fabric keeps it flat.
