Six cozy harvest drawings in chocolate brown thread: a veined maple leaf, an oak leaf beside a freckled acorn, a pair of acorns with textured caps, a wreath of alternating oak and plain leaves, a steaming mug wrapped in a checked band, and a polished harvest apple with a single leaf.
Chocolate brown on cream looks like old-fashioned redwork, while rust, olive or navy thread gives the same lines a different mood. The checked band on the mug is stitched with a plain grid so you can imagine flannel without any fill. Use the leaf wreath as a centerpiece on a pillow or a round hoop display, and the mug on kitchen towels or coffee-corner placemats.
Outline stitching is quick, flexible and gentle on towels, flannel shirts, linen napkins and quilt blocks. Each motif has continuous line work with only a handful of trims.
