A moody autumn-night scene: a black crow with a bright white eye sits on a weathered wooden post while a big cream moon, cratered in sand, hangs above a tidy row of corn stalks with golden cobs. A few stars scatter across the sky.
The picture is stitched on dark fabric, so the sky is the cloth itself and only the subjects are embroidered. Choose midnight blue, charcoal, black or deep plum cotton, denim or canvas. It suits a framed hoop, a sweatshirt back, a jacket panel, a banner or the front of a tote.
Both sizes are full scenes, 5x7 for chest and cushion work and 6x10 for jacket backs and wall hangings. The crow is outlined in silver-grey thread so it never disappears into dark fabric, and the stalks overlap only in the leaf tips, which keeps the stitching smooth.

Stitching notes: Stitch on stable woven fabric or with cut-away stabilizer on knits; 40 wt polyester thread and a 75/11 needle suit these densities. Fills use tatami rows about 0.4 mm apart with edge-walk and zigzag underlay; satin edges give crisp outlines.
