A crooked old house with a pointed tower, glowing yellow windows and a chimney, standing on a green hill under a big pale moon. Two tiny bats cross the moon, a bare tree leans in from the right, a picket fence runs along the hill and two small pumpkins sit on the grass.
The scene is built in layers so it looks dimensional: the moon first, then the hill, the grey house walls, the black roofs and door, the glowing windows and finally the pumpkins. The 6x10 version has room for all of the fine detail and makes a complete hoop-art picture.
Use it for a framed Halloween wall hoop, a quilt block, a flour-sack towel, a large tote or the back of a jacket.

Stitching notes: Stitch on stable woven fabric or with cut-away stabilizer on knits; 40 wt polyester thread and a 75/11 needle suit these densities. Fills use tatami rows about 0.4 mm apart with edge-walk and zigzag underlay; satin edges give crisp outlines.
