Patches the scarecrow has locked the big red barn on Willow Farm, and only a five-digit code will open it before the harvest feast. This kid-friendly escape room kit sends players through a pumpkin patch, a corn maze and a field of sunflowers, with five printable puzzles that each give one digit.
Two complete versions are included. Level A (ages 6 to 9) has a number-to-letter note with a chart, a three-riddle crow acrostic, simple picture math with pumpkins, apples and acorns, a 7 by 7 corn maze and a sunflower counting pattern. Level B (ages 9 to 12) uses a backwards number code with no chart, a four-riddle acrostic, picture math with subtraction and multiplication, an 11 by 11 corn maze with decoy numbers and a mixed number pattern.
Picture-math answers are unique by brute-force check, mazes are solved by program, and the codes are recomputed from the puzzle solutions: Level A opens with 32586 and Level B with 84798.
