A real challenge for fourth and fifth graders, teens and puzzle fans. Each of the ten 15x15 grids hides 14 or 15 words that run in all eight directions: forwards, backwards, up, down and on both diagonals. Word lengths go up to 13 letters, so scanning for first letters is not enough.
The word lists are real vocabulary: graveyard scenery, classic monsters, a potions lab, mystery-story terms, a costume closet, candy, a haunted mansion, night animals, pumpkin science and the traditions behind Halloween. A moody night-sky look keeps the pages feeling grown-up. The answer key highlights every word and gives its row, column and direction.
