Everything first and second graders need for consonant digraphs and blends in one 20-page pack. Four digraphs (sh, ch, th, wh) get two pages each: a picture-and-trace page, then a complete-the-word page with a word-bank cloze. Fourteen blends (bl, br, cl, cr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, sl, sn, sp, st, tr) are taught two to a page with pictures where a clear picture exists and read-it cards where one does not.
The pack also has a checklist, a digraph sort, a blend sort (cut and paste) and two sentence pages where students circle the blend or digraph word. Every word and picture is checked in the build (each word really starts or ends with its digraph or blend, each cloze sentence has exactly one word-bank answer, each sentence has exactly one target word), and answer pages are included.
