The coins in this workbook are original generic coin pictures drawn to the true relative sizes of a penny, nickel, dime and quarter, each marked with its value in cents and no portraits or symbols, so children can see why a dime is smaller than a nickel and learn to count by value, not by size.

Pages start with names and values, then count one coin type at a time, mix two types, count dimes, nickels and pennies together, and finally add quarters. More tasks compare coin values, compare two groups, draw coins to make an amount, pick the coins that pay exactly for a fall treat such as a caramel apple or apple cider, and solve short money stories. Every total is recomputed in the build and printed in the answer key.
