Clocks are drawn in vector on every page, with 60 tick marks, a clear 1 to 12 number ring, a short rust hour hand and a long dark minute hand, so children learn to read the same face they will see on classroom walls. The workbook builds in small steps: parts of a clock, reading o'clock times, drawing hands, matching clocks to digital times, then the same steps for half past, and finally mixed practice.

Later pages ask children to circle the right digital time, finish an 'It is...' sentence, read a fall-day schedule that runs from waking up to hot cocoa, and work out what time it will be one hour later. The hour hand sits exactly between numbers on half-past clocks, as it does on a real clock, and every clock angle is checked in the build so the answer key can be trusted.
